Run Any Hugging Face Space on Runpod (Kokoro TTS Example)

Complete Tutorial with Free Resources

Hugging Face Spaces are great for testing AI models, but they can be limited by compute and rate limits. The good news is: you can now run any Hugging Face Space using Docker and deploy it on Runpod with powerful GPUs — unlimited usage, full control.

🎬 HUGGING FACE TO RUNPOD TUTORIAL

Deploy Kokoro TTS from Hugging Face to RunPod

This guide walks you through deploying the Kokoro TTS Space from Hugging Face to Runpod. You can use this same process for any Hugging Face Space.

Prerequisites

  • A Hugging Face account (to generate an access token)
  • A Runpod account with payment method added
  • Use my referral link to get up to $500 bonus credits:

1. Choose a Hugging Face Space

  • Go to Hugging Face Spaces.
  • Select the Space you want to deploy.
  • In this guide, we're using Kokoro TTS.
  • Open the Space and click the three dots in the top-right corner.
  • Select Run Locally — this shows you the Docker image info.
  • Copy the Docker image, e.g.:
registry.hf.space/hexgrad-kokoro-tts:latest

2. Create a Template in Runpod

  1. In Runpod, click Templates in the navigation bar.
  2. Click New Template.
  3. Paste the Docker image into Container Image.
  4. Set Expose HTTP Ports to:
7860

Set Container Start Command to:

python app.py

Scroll to Environment Variables and add:

KeyValue
HUGGING_FACE_HUB_TOKENyour HF token

(Get the token from your Hugging Face profile → Settings → Access Tokens)

Save your template.

3. Deploy a Pod

  1. Go to Pods in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Deploy.
  3. Choose a GPU (H100 recommended, but cheaper ones also work).
  4. Scroll down → click Change Template.
  5. Select your new template (e.g., Kokoro TTS).
  6. Review settings and click Deploy.

4. Check Logs

  • Wait a bit for the pod to initialize.
  • Open Logs to ensure everything is running correctly.
  • Common things you may see:
  • Disk space errors → increase storage size in the template.
  • Retrying loops → stop the pod and redeploy.

If no errors appear, you're good to go.

5. Open the App

  1. Go to the Connect tab.
  2. Click the exposed port 7860.
  3. Let the interface load for a few moments — don't use it immediately.

You now have Kokoro TTS running on your own GPU with no limits!

This guide shows you how to deploy any Hugging Face Space on RunPod with powerful GPUs and no rate limits. You can use this same process for any Space you want to deploy!
